The Blue Pride Alumni Challenge!
Reunions are the perfect time to celebrate your time at Brooklyn Friends, reconnect with faculty and classmates, and ensure a bright future for BFS with a gift to the school. The Blue Pride Alumni Challenge will encourage a bit of friendly competition among reunion classes. The reunion class with the highest participation in alumni giving by noon on Alumni Day, June 3rd, will be announced that day and all members of the winning class who are present will receive a special BFS gift. Every donation, regardless of size, counts toward your class’s participation!
As an added incentive, fellow alumnus Charles Rosenthal ‘53 will match–up to $20,000–each gift received from a new alumni donor between May 1st and noon on Alumni Day, June 3rd!
Thank you for your commitment to Brooklyn Friends School. Your support makes all the difference to our school, programs and students!

The Brooklyn Friends School Alumni/ae Office connects our alumni community with the school and with each other. We host a variety of activities and events each year to appeal to our community’s broad range of interests. As members of our Alumni Association, you will hear about upcoming events via email and/or in the mail. All events are also posted here on our website as well as on our school calendar, and we’d love for you to join us.
We encourage you to browse our calendar and attend current school events, too! Join us for our student athletic games, music, theater, and dance performances, and other community gatherings like our Net @ Night events or the annual Spring Gala.
To find out how you can get more involved, contact Director of Alumni, Lekeia Varlack Judge ’99 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Each year, BFS hosts a celebration in honor of our awesome alumni community. Faculty, staff and Friends are also invited to reconnect with our former students and enjoy the day’s activities which include an alumni basketball game, Quaker meeting and a cocktail reception. While everyone is encouraged to come and celebrate with their classmates, special recognition is given to our milestone reunion years from the 5th all the way to the 50th and beyond. Alums travel from near and far to reunite with one another and reminisce about the good ol’ days at Brooklyn Friends. If you are interested in contacting your fellow classmates or organizing an after party or dinner, please contact Lekeia Varlack Judge ‘99, Director of Alumni, at email@example.com.

What better way to celebrate your reunion year than to give a gift that honors your class’ legacy? Reunion giving at BFS represents a commitment to our school and a way for your class to directly impact the culture of our community for years to come. The best way to show your appreciation for the education you received, is to help provide future generations with the same academic, athletic and extracurricular opportunities that make Brooklyn Friends so special. To give in honor of your class year, please visit http://www.brooklynfriends.org/giving.
Brooklyn Friends Fund
As alumni, there are many ways that we can honor our legacy at BFS and impact future generations. One way to easily contribute to the culture of Brooklyn Friends, is to support the annual Brooklyn Friends Fund.
Your contribution is a vote of confidence in BFS as well as an endorsement of the quality education you received while you were here. Gifts at any level make a huge impact in our educational programming and enhance the resources available to student body, faculty and alumni communities.
Light the Way, Capital Campaign
“Light the Way: The Campaign for Brooklyn Friends School” will ensure that our facilities match the excellence of our academic program and promise of our students, that we honor our long-held commitment to providing financial support to the largest possible number of students of every background, and that we continue to benefit from an outstanding faculty of gifted and committed teachers.
Funds raised through “Light the Way” will directly support our new Upper School facility and increase our endowment for financial aid and faculty salaries.
For more information about Light the Way, contact Karen Edelman, Director of Advancement at firstname.lastname@example.org or (718)852-1029 x206.
Friends for a Lifetime
We are happy to help you connect with your classmates from BFS. We ask that you please email us to request contact information and only use it for individual communications of a personal, non-commercial nature.
There are several ways to keep in touch & get involved!
Become a Class Agent
Class agents, as alumni leaders and BFS ambassadors, positively impact the lives of current and future students, fellow alumni, and the school community as a whole. Class agents are, first and foremost, volunteers engaged in community building for Brooklyn Friends School. They give of their time and talent to keep their fellow class members in touch with the school and with each other. Brooklyn Friends School wants connecting with classmates and BFS to be a personally rewarding and enjoyable experience.
Alumni classes have at least one class representative whose duties include keeping in touch with classmates and planning milestone reunions. You can learn more about becoming a class agent here. If you are interested in becoming a class representative or would like to contact your class rep, please contact Lekeia Varlack, Director of Alumni, by email at email@example.com or by calling 718-852-1029 ext. 208.
