Virtual Summer Camp 2020 – An Overview

Brooklyn Friends Virtual Summer Camp is for children ages 3 – 7, who will be entering Preschool 4s, K, 1 or 2 grades in the Fall of 2020. We offer three sessions of engaging synchronous activities led by teaching artists and experienced group leaders. Activities are designed to cultivate curiosity, creativity, self-expression and positive social interaction. In each session we will also offer Free Fridays, which will include a morning session of captivating story-telling and our BFS Funlibrary, a plethora of videos created by BFS teachers and students for campers to access and enjoy at their leisure. A link will be shared with everyone in our community to access Free Fridays.

Virtual Summer Arts 2020 – An Overview

Our virtual Summer Arts offers a diverse and exciting art experience for children who will be entering 3rd through 7th grades in September 2020.  In keeping with the tried-and-true Summer Arts experience, our virtual program will be offering the same excellent elements that make Summer Arts so great. Children are taught by working and exhibiting New York City artists, who are selected for their artistic accomplishments, as well as their experience working with children. Under the care and guidance of our staff, children explore their creativity and artistic abilities through an enriched interdisciplinary program while honing core competencies such as collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

In each session, students will participate in each of the classes described in this brochure. In addition to exciting and creative classes, students will end their day with Virtual Fitness and New Games, classes that encourage physical activity, exploring new skills and plain old fun!
