Brooklyn Friends School to Host Community Art Exhibit
Attention all artists at Brooklyn Friends School—we want you to show off your talents!
Brooklyn Friends School is proud to announce it will be hosting a Community Art Exhibit in its Upper School! This is not exclusively for Upper School students, however. The exhibit is open to students of all ages—from all grades—as well as colleagues!
The theme for this exhibit is Community: What does community mean to you? And all artwork should relate to this question. All formats of artwork (painting, collage, drawing, photography, video, film, poetry in large print, etc.) will be accepted. Contributors can submit either a physical or digital work, which will be displayed on the walls and throughout the hallways and lobbies of the Lawrence Street building.
Please email your digital artwork or a photo of physical artwork to Kamaya Prince Thomson, the Head of Upper School (kprincethompson@brooklynfriends.org) and Sinae Lee, our All-School Visual Arts Chair (slee@brooklynfriends.org). If you have physical artwork please let us know and then bring it directly to the Lawrence Street building (116 Lawrence Street) where you can leave it with the front desk.
All submissions need to be received by September 17th, 2021.
We look forward to seeing the community you want to build this year!
