The Be the Light challenge is a call to our community to join us in partnership through a gift to the Fund for Brooklyn Friends School. As of today, more than 40% of our families have pledged their support for the Fund. We are confident that 2024 is the year that we will get closer than we ever have before to achieving 100% participation from our BFS families in this effort!

From now through the end of the school year, all families can support the Be the Light challenge. With each gift or pledge received, you can watch the numbers for each class year and learning community grow. Which class will be the first to complete the challenge? That is up to you!

A community that comes together in true partnership—that is who we are! This is our challenge. We know we can do it!

Please note: All gifts made by current families to the Fund for Brooklyn Friends School from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 are counted towards the challenge. Gifts received since July 1, 2023 are reflected in the above totals. Each gift received from a BFS family is counted towards each of the class years in which that family is a member.
