Service Learning Day Digs Deep

This year’s PAT SERVICE LEARNING SPRING DAY OF SERVICE on April 9 was a wonderful day.

Mimis MiliersThe morning PurpleStride 5K Run& Family Friendly Walk with Angie Ungaro (Gr. 7/8 Dean and Librarian) and her family was a great success. (see group photo at right of Mimi’s Milers). There was strong Middle School representation – students, parents, and faculty, and everyone had a very positive experience. Thank you for participating and showing your love and support!

The art project,“Drawing Elephants and Making Waves” organized by the PAT Service Learning Committee*** in collaboration with BFS parent Eliza Factor and Extreme Kids & Crew to raise awareness about disability was also a wonderful, fun and enriching event. We had a great time experimenting making art with our non-dominant hands, our feet, elbows, blindfolded and standing on one leg!

Thank you to all the student volunteers, Eliza Factor and her volunteers from Extreme Kids & Crew, BFS Director of Service Learning and Civic Engagement Natania Kremer and all the BFS and Extreme Kids & Crew families and friends who came to make art with us! A special thank you also to Susan Macleod for making the beautiful poster and to Emily Cowles and Joan Martin in the Advancement Office for all their help and support in organizing this event.
