Middle and Upper School Presents Ragtime

The Middle and Upper School proudly presents the Fall 2015 Musical, Ragtime, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov 19-21. Tickets are free but must be reserved here.

Ragtime, based on a book of the same name by E.L. Doctorow, weaves the stories of historical figures and fictional characters at the turn of the 20th century. It tackles a number of issues – issues that we are still struggling with today. Among those issues are women’s rights, immigration, activism, racism, police brutality, socio-economic disparity and more. There is controversial material and strong language throughout the script, including racial slurs. For these reasons, we are recommending the show for 5th grade and up, with parental guidance. Younger students may attend at the parent’s discretion.
