Our Strategic Vision

Make a Gift Now

For 155 years, Brooklyn Friends School has provided an essential educational experience for our students. Spanning a spectrum that begins in our Preschool with our two-year-old play-based curriculum and culminating with our Upper School students who receive an esteemed International Baccalaureate education, our students will continue to have a meaningful social impact well beyond their time in our buildings.

Fueling all aspects of the educational program, gifts to the Brooklyn Friends Fund have a direct and immediate impact on opportunities for teaching and learning, grounded in our Quaker values. Unrestricted gifts last year allowed every child in our school to experience a creative, engaging, and empowering experience.

Together, we are all stewards for Brooklyn Friends School students—today and tomorrow.  We thank you for partnering with us on this worthy journey.

Yes! As a 501c3 organization, Brooklyn Friends School is eligible to receive matching gifts. Double or even triple your gift to the Brooklyn Friends Fund by requesting a matching gift from your employer. Contact your human resources office to find out if your company offers matching gifts.

A Brooklyn Friends Fund gift is unrestricted support that provides money for the current budget and has an immediate impact on the day-to-day vibrancy of the school. It helps to fund everything from competitive colleague salaries and financial aid to books and computers, athletic programs and curriculum enhancements.

A key factor in the success of the Brooklyn Friends Fund is that every family gives according to their means. Last year donations ranged from $1 to $100,000. All gifts, regardless of size, have an impact on the school and are greatly appreciated.

Supporting the Brooklyn Friends Fund is a vote of confidence in the school. Your participation inspires others to give in our community and giving is part of who we are – a Quaker, values-based institution. Colleagues participate in the Brooklyn Friends Fund because they continue to believe in the community. Giving to the Fund, at any level, signals a belief in the education program and mission of BFS.
