Brooklyn Friends School is located in Downtown Brooklyn, three blocks from the Brooklyn Bridge and ten minutes away from Wall Street in Lower Manhattan. A vibrant city campus, our school is surrounded by municipal and judiciary buildings, four colleges, cultural institutions, leading social service agencies, large corporations, and a thriving retail district. There are nine different subway lines within short walking distance to our doors.
BFS is thrilled to have our new three-floor, 40,000 square foot Upper School facility at 116 Lawrence Street in MetroTech, just a block away from our Pearl Street building for Preschool through Middle School students.
Our home on Pearl Street, for Early Childhood through Middle School classes, boasts 45 classrooms, two libraries, two media centers, five science laboratories, two dance studios, two gymnasiums, six art studios (including a woodshop and ceramics studio with kiln), cafeteria, rooftop playground, and a 280-seat theater.
