A New Website and a New School Year

BFS families — Welcome to the new  school year and a brand new Brooklyn Friends School website.

All parents, faculty/staff and students in grades 6-12 were sent an e-mail message asking them to sign-in to the website so they would have access to the new Dashboard (which replaces the previous Portal system).  If you have not yet set up your account, you may use the following links for access to the password-protected parent, faculty, and student resources:

My BackPack  Make sure that your Data/Profile is accurate on your BFS My Backpack/Senior Systems account. We use this information for all parent communications, including reenrollment contracts and student report cards. Your address is used to determine Gr. K-12 eligibility for NYC Student Metrocards

Magnus Health Accounts  Complete the  Student Health Record  and other required forms through Magnus Health –  DO NOT SEND HEALTH FORMS TO BFS. All required information must be sent to Magnus Health immediately.

PHOTO ID Use your BFS Photo ID from the previous school year (students, parents, faculty/staff, and affiliates). All new parents and returning parents who need a new or replacement photo ID need to fill out a request form by clicking the appropriate link below:

CALENDARS Be sure to check out the comprehensive calendar with filters on this website.

The BFS printed academic calendar was distributed to Lower School (K-4) families through their child’s classroom. Calendars were mailed home to Preschool, Middle and Upper School on Tuesday, Sept. 8 and should have been received by Sept. 12. For your convenience, see the 15-16 Web Calendar.

Calendars will also be available from Cheryl at the Pearl Street front desk on a first-come basis.

SUPPLY LISTS The only school division that has a supply list is the Middle School, which was sent home to families on July 23.
