Let the New School Year Begin at BFS!

BFS came alive Wednesday morning, as students from two-years-old through ninth grade filled our hallways and rooms with excitement, laughter, and wonder. Our friends in grades 10–12, meanwhile, are offsite engaging in a meaningful retreat to foster friendship and connection.

Back on Pearl Street, our youngest students through our 8th graders arrived ready for the new school year. You can watch a video from arrivals here.

Two blocks away, our 9th graders joined together, connecting with their advisory groups, receiving welcome packages, and kicking off with a fun ‘Find Someone Who…’ Bingo game. They’re diving into BFS community expectations, the Quaker SPICES, and everything ‘BFS 101.’ Highlights included a visit to an escape room, a neighborhood scavenger hunt, and a powerful discussion on social justice with our DEB Team. Students also reflected on their journey by writing letters to their 12th-grade selves. On Friday, our 10th, 11th, and 12th grades return from their retreats, bringing our entire Upper School Learning Community together!

There’s no turning back now! The 2024–2025 school year is underway!
