We are excited to share that our process led us to the formal adoption of Bridges In Mathematics. Since our opening days, all K-4 classroom teachers have been engaged in professional development around the curriculum, and have been in a process of discussing all of the components found within Bridges. Jonathan and Kate have been engaging in follow-up meetings and strategic purposeful planning with all grade level teams to guide and facilitate continued learning and understanding of the curriculum.

Join Jonathan Edmonds and Kate Minear (Lower School Math Specialists) to learn about the powerful visual models that the Bridges Math Curriculum uses to help kindergarten through fourth grade students make sense of numbers. We will look closely at a few key models to unpack how they support understanding of number composition, relationships, and operations. We hope participants will take away an appreciation of the rich thinking and problem solving that Lower Schoolers do and gain insight into how they can engage with their children in math at home.
