For the past two years, Brooklyn Friends School has taken over Brooklyn Bowl for an evening of silent and live auctions, great music, delicious food, bowling, and fun with friends. Thanks to the BFS community, the 2015 PAT Spring Bowl raised $105,000 for financial aid at Brooklyn Friends.

Tuesday, May 5, 2015: The evening kicked off with bidding on nearly 200 silent auction items. The Spring Bowl Auction Committee brought together items for every interest and budget. With online bidding open before the party, the action was already well underway and members of the BFS community across the country were able to take part in the fun.

Middle school teacher and auctioneer Jeremy Hawkins then led a live auction of beautiful collaborative artwork from BFS Preschool and Lower School students. To celebrate the tremendous success of the evening, Big Beat – featuring BFS parents Josh Margolis and Jon Walker – took to the stage, and the crowd hit the dance floor and the bowling lanes.

The success of the Spring Bowl is all thanks to the hard work of the PAT and parent volunteers. The School thanks Spring Bowl Co-Chairs Monica Jonas and Lauryn Small as well as the creative and dedicated Spring Bowl Committee. The School also thanks DJ Lumumba Bandele and the band Big Beat for providing the evening’s soundtrack. And last, but certainly not least, thanks to our students and teachers for the incredible artwork that they created for the auction.
