Snails in Kindergarten

As part of the science curriculum, kindergarten students learned about snails, the habitats they live in, and their life cycle. Students also conducted an experiment to see what types of food snails like to eat.
In a literacy block, students were asked to think about what snails would say if they could speak like we do. The students came up with a few ideas and then used the iPad app ChatterPix Kids to bring their snails to life!
Working with a partner, students used the camera to take a picture of their snails and gave their snails a voice using the app. Then, they used stickers and filters to enhance their snail videos. Finally, students uploaded their videos to Google Drive to share with their teachers.
