King’s College London’s Pre-University Summer School in the USA gives rising sophomores, juniors and seniors a unique taste of the British college experience. It is a commuter programme located in the New York metro area and will run from 18 – 22 June 2018. Students are introduced to the British way of teaching and learning, with engaging and challenging classes designed to simulate their first year of undergraduate study. There is also an opportunity to attend a special session on the British college application process. This summer we are offering a course on International Politics which will be taught by leaders in the field.
The programme will take place at our partner school Brooklyn Friends School, 116 Lawrence Street, in Brooklyn, New York.
To apply to this programme students will need to provide:
- High school transcript
- Personal statement
- Reference letter from current school
- All successful applicants will be required to sign a student code of conduct and supply a consent note signed by their parent / legal guardian
- The fee of £750 (approximately $1,000) includes tuition, relevant class excursions and a certificate of attendance.Kings College is offering two tuition fee scholarships for students wishing to study on our 2018 Pre-University Summer School in the USA. There is a limited number of spaces available. Applicants who meet the entry criteria will be offered a place on a first come, first served basis. Please note that applications will not be processed until all documentation has been provided. Participation is confirmed only after the programme fee has been paid in full.
