Lower School
Admissions Grades 2-4

In our Lower School, subject matter in language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, Spanish, information technology, and media literacy flourishes in an environment that also prioritizes visual arts, woodworking, dance, music, and physical education. To develop the unique potential in each Lower School student, teachers not only seek to foster academic achievement, but also to stimulate critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and emotional intelligence.

To begin the admissions process for Grades 2 – 4, please create a Ravenna account and submit an online application. In Grades 2 – 4, interviews will only be offered if spaces are available, and if applications are submitted by November 25, 2024.

Second, Third, and Fourth Grade children must be seven, eight, and nine years old respectively by September 1 in the year they start school.

The process includes an applicant and parent interview and the submission of supplemental materials. In addition to the online application, school transcripts for the two prior years (2022-2023 and 2023-2024) must be submitted by January 9, 2025. Applications submitted after the application deadline will be held and considered as space and time allow.

Families may be contacted at any time during the admissions season to schedule an interview, if space becomes available. We strongly recommend submitting supplemental materials as soon as possible and attending an open house.

Step 1: Create a Ravenna profile. You will use Ravenna to complete your online application and all supplemental materials, to register for admissions events, and to submit the application fee.

Step 2: Schedule an interview and visit. Invitations to schedule interviews will be sent via email to families beginning in September.
