Register Now for the BFX Music School at BFS
Brooklyn Friends School offers students the opportunity to discover, develop, and deepen their love of music. The BFX Music School allows students aged kindergarten and up, to take private lessons within our BFXplorations After School Program. Students receive individualized instruction designed to help each young musician grow and find their own unique talent.
BFX Music School will feature private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, or drums between 4–6pm, Monday through Friday, and between 9am and noon on Saturday and Sunday. Lessons are available in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute lessons.
Our BFX Music School Coordinator is Trina Basu P’32, P‘35, herself an accomplished violinist, composer, and teacher, who has performed on stages such as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and the Newport Jazz Festival alongside many esteemed artists. “I’m so excited about the potential for this program to grow into something really wonderful,” Trina said. Along with Associate Director of Auxiliary Programs Andrew Kagan, Trina has procured an impressive line-up of music teachers for this venture. You can find BIOS HERE.
