BFS Middle School Debater Takes Home Gold
BFS seventh grader Karina S. didn’t just earn the chance to compete at the National Online Forensics Diamond Debate Invitational this weekend—she took home gold! Karina won first place in Middle School Congressional Debate and we could not be more proud of her!
Karina represented Brooklyn Friends School in the online Middle School Congressional Debate Tournament, and competed in a field that included students from schools across the country, including Harvard-Westlake. She debated topics that included public digital literacy, caffeine bans in schools, and expanding access to afterschool STEM programs in underserved communities. Look out for more info coming soon about BFS’ new MS speech and debate opportunities!
Congratulations, Karina!
