Coming on May 2: All Community Shabbat Dinner

In the spirit of community, the BFS Jewish Affinity communities, in partnership with the office and BFF committee of Diversity, Equity and Belonging, invite all members of the BFS community to a Shabbat Dinner on Friday, May 2 from 5:30 to 8:30pm in the Lower Gym at 375 Pearl Street. This gathering is intentional in welcoming and gathering all – Jewish and non-Jewish Friends – to experience the “Oneg Shabbos/Joy of Shabbos” and the sacred power of community togetherness. The weekly observance of Shabbat is a sacred practice that focuses on unplugging from daily labors to be in community with family, friends, and neighbors. The evening’s prayers will be led by Cantor Sarah Myerson, Spiritual Leader of the Roosevelt Island Jewish Congregation, and Rabbi Bailey Romano of Brooklyn Heights Synagogue. They will be accompanied by the joyful sounds of the Brooklyn Klezmer Trio. Let’s be together, dance, and eat! Please RSVP to this event at the link.
