Class of 2016 Leaves a Legacy

Make a Senior Legacy Gift

Senior Legacy Gift 2016 copyThe class of 2016 will be the first to graduate from 116 Lawrence Street, our state-of-the art Upper School facility. In honor of that milestone, a committee of senior parents is working together on behalf of the 12th graders to raise money to create a Senior Legacy Gift.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 in order to name the Alumni Office in honor of the Class of 2016. Just as important, we want to have 100% senior parent participation. If we reach our target, we will have a photo of the Class of 2016 matted, framed and hung in the Alumni Office along with a plaque honoring them. In addition, parents who make a Senior Legacy Gift will receive an 8″ x 10″ print of the photo. So far we’ve raised $29,960 with 54% of senior parents participating.

The Senior Legacy Gift is a meaningful way for parents of seniors to recognize your son’s or daughter’s achievements and to honor your student’s unique place in Brooklyn Friends School history. At the same time you will be acknowledging the opportunities your student has enjoyed at Brooklyn Friends and making certain the same opportunities are available to future generations of Friends.

Elinor Hills ’14 will be taking a class portrait of the seniors on Wednesday, March 16th, at 8am during advisory. We want to include EVERY 12th grade student. Seniors, please meet in the stairwell at Lawrence Street. Donuts will be served!
