Dialogue with a Difference

Layout 1Start off the school year with a deeper understanding of the school’s diversity and institutional equity programs. Come to the first “Let’s Chat” session with Orinthia Swindell and Russell Marsh on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8:30am or 5:30pm. Both sessions will be held in the third floor conference room at 375 Pearl Street. (Light refreshments available).

Get an overview of the work of the BFS Office of Diversity and Institutional Equity and have a dialogue with Orinthia (Director), Russell (Associate Director), fellow parents and BFS faculty/staff. This is a continuation of the Let’s Chat series which began last year to engage our community in the diversity, inclusion, and social justice work inspired by the BFS mission.

Orinthia and Russell have prepared a handout, A Brief Guide for Anti-Bias, Social Justice Work at Brooklyn Friends School. Take some time to review this document: a-brief-guide-for-anti-bias before “Let’s Chat” on Tuesday or at any time soon or throughout the school year. Future “Let’s Chat” sessions will be held on January 17 and April 25, 2017, also at 8:30am and 5:30pm.

Detailed information and resources about Diversity and Institutional Equity are on the BFS website. Please visit this section soon and often.
