BFS Celebrates 150 Years in a Park Celebrating Its Own Sesquicentennial
On Saturday, October 21, the BFS community settled into a shady spot in Prospect Park and enjoyed a day of fun, games, and fellowship to celebrate our sesquicentennial. It was a beautiful fall day in the other Brooklyn institution famously celebrating its 150th anniversary. Families enjoyed picnic lunches and played in field games organized by the Physical Education Department. The day ended on a sweet note as students sang happy birthday to BFS and enjoyed a BFS at 150 cake.
Special thanks to the following who made BFS at 150 Family Fun Day a success for our community:
Peter Soto and Darren Nosti, Physical Education Teachers, for organizing field games
The PAT for funding the celebration
The BFS Safety Team for joining us in Prospect Park
Members of the BFS at 150 Steering Committee for volunteering their time
Students Lily E. ’20, Salma M. ’20 and Rami S. ’25 for volunteering their time
