You Put the Meaning of “Friends” into Brooklyn Friends School
The Class of 2019 reflects so much of what Brooklyn Friends School has to offer – their academic strengths, wide ranging passions (both in and out of the classroom), artistic and athletic commitment, dedication to social justice, equity and inclusion.
All that these young people have gained at Brooklyn Friends was supported by faculty and staff, families, friends – and importantly, each other. That was evident at the joyous and exuberant commencement for the 52 graduates, which was held on Tuesday, June 12 at a superb new location – the auditorium of New York City Technical College, our academic neighbor just two blocks away from BFS at 285 Jay Street.
Faculty, student, and guest speakers underscored the strengths of each individual in the class and the need to always aspire towards even greater strengths and the highest ideals. Thank you, students and families, for being such dedicated and inspirational members of the school community.
