Street Harassment is NOT a Compliment

This poster was created by Stella, Manya and Lily.
International Anti-Street Harassment Week is being observed from April 7 – 13, 2013.  This event was started as “an opportunity to collectively raise awareness that street harassment happens and that it’s not okay.”

The middle school group, Young Women of Strength (YWOS) has chosen to participate in a number of ways:

  • Wearing t-shirts, passing out stickers, hanging posters featuring anti-harassment slogans.
  • Sharing facts about harassment and ways to stop it in the MS Daily News and Advisory.
  • Sponsoring a bake sale on Friday (April 12) during the MS lunches.  All proceeds from the bake sale will be donated to The New York City Alliance Agains Sexual Assault.
