Underwrite Excellence — Support the Brooklyn Friends Fund

The Brooklyn Friends Fund is the school’s annual giving program that supports every aspect of student life. Like all independent schools, each year we ask our board of trustees, parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty and friends to make a voluntary contribution to the Fund to offset the difference between tuition and the cost of running the school.

Gifts to the Brooklyn Friends Fund are unrestricted financial support for the current operating budget and have an immediate impact on the day-to-day vibrancy of the school. The Fund supports the rich academic, arts, athletic, service learning and co-curricular programs at BFS. It also funds competitive salaries and professional development for faculty and staff and underpins our financial aid program which, as a percentage of operating budget, is among the most generous of any New York City independent school.

“Every independent school relies on the generosity of its community to safeguard and enrich the educational experience of its students. At Brooklyn Friends School, annual gifts from parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and friends provide the margin of excellence that characterizes a Brooklyn Friends education.”
