Fall 2020 Reopening FAQs and Resources

Game Highlights from the Week of Sept. 10, 2012

On Monday the BFS Girls Varsity Soccer team defeated St. Francis Prep in a scrimmage 3-2 down at Red Hook.  BFS trailed 2-0 and came from behind to pull out the victory.  Halima M. scored 2 goals and Naya C. scored one goal for BFS.

On Tuesday the BFS Girls Varsity Volleyball team defeated Leman Prep in the Upper Gym 2-0 (25-9, 25-9).  It was a good learning experience for the team.  They showed some moments of greatness and promise for a bright future!  Everyone was focused, understanding their roles and playing hard.  Our service, movement to the ball, and communication on the court were very good.  It was a great team effort to start the season with a win!  Blue Pride!!

On Wednesday the BFS Girls Varsity Soccer team tied Berkeley Carroll 0-0 at the Parade Grounds.

A close game between Berkeley Carroll and Brooklyn Friends opened their ACIS season’s. For long periods of the game Berkeley Carroll possessed the ball and had many chances to take the lead, but they were unable to get the break through goal. Brooklyn Friends looked to hit on the counter attack and had their chances too, but as the game wore on, their defense dropped deeper and deeper to protect the scoreline. Both teams can take positives from the result and their performances, and have plenty to build upon in the weeks to come.
