The Brooklyn Friends Fund: FAQs

A Brooklyn Friends Fund gift is unrestricted support that provides money for the current budget and has an immediate impact on the day-to-day vibrancy of the school. It helps to fund everything from competitive faculty salaries and financial aid to books and computers, athletic programs and curriculum enhancements.

A key factor in the success of the Brooklyn Friends Fund is that every family gives according to their means. Last year donations ranged from $1 to $100,000. All gifts, regardless of size, have an impact on the school and are greatly appreciated.

Supporting the Brooklyn Friends Fund is a vote of confidence in the school. As BFS continues to expand, we will be turning to foundations for additional sources of funding. Participation in annual giving campaigns will be one of many data points used to evaluate the robustness of BFS. Giving to the Fund, at any level, signals a belief in the educational program and mission of BFS.
