Snow Policy

Whenever NYC public schools announce that they will close because of snow, severe weather, or any other emergency situation, BFS will also close. BFS will post this announcement on our website, on the school’s phone greeting, and through our automated phone calling system to all families, faculty and staff. In the event of a school closure, New York City and the Department of Education announce the decision as early as possible prior to 5:00am on the affected day.  If a storm worsens during a regularly scheduled school day and the NYC public school system decides to cancel all afterschool activities, Brooklyn Friends School will cancel all afterschool activities as well.
