90 Seconds of Fame

The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is just around the corner!

What is that you ask?  Well it’s simple, the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival (started by fantasy author James Kennedy) is “a video contest in which filmmakers of any age make movies that tell the entire story of a Newbery award-winning book in 90 seconds or less.”  Whew.

This year, BFS has two groups that have entered videos in the 2nd annual film festival, both of which will be screened on Sunday, December 2nd, at the Symphony Space.  Get all the details HERE if you to attend next Sunday.

And now the entries (in alphabetical order by title)…
Hoot by Carl Hiassen in 90 Seconds”

(Watch even more Hoot outtakes here!)

Summer of the Swans by Betsy Byars in 90(ish) Seconds”

Congratulations to all our participants on a job well done!
