This has been a great year in Middle School Tech classes. Two particular highlights include the sixth grade 3D Castle Printing project and the 7th grade robot badge soldering project.
In the History portion of sixth grade Humanities classes, students study the Middle Ages. In Tech classes, we focused on certain specific design elements of Middle Age castles and students used Tinkercad to design and 3D print their own.
In seventh grade Tech classes, we focused on Physical Computing by learning the science behind circuits and how to solder basic electrical components to a PCB (Printed Circuit Board). For our project, each student was asked to solder LEDs and a battery pack to a PCB to complete a robot badge. We had a blast.
